Moong Dal Laddoo (Spilt Yellow Dal Laddoo)



Ingredients

Moong Dal (Yellow Split Dal) : 1 cup
Powdered Jaggery : 1 cup
Ghee : As required to make laddoo’s

Preparation

Dry roast moong dal on low to medium flame till it changes color and you get a nice roasted smell. It may take approx. 10mins for this. Once it is done switch off the flame and let it cool. Grind it to a coarse or fine powder (I made it to a coarse powder). To this moong dal powder mix powdered jaggery and add warm melted ghee little by little until you a consistency to form laddoo’s. Store it in a air tight container.

Note: Make sure the stove is on low to medium flame while roasting or else you may end up changing the color of moong dal in just 2-3 mins without proper roasting.
