1/4 tsp turmeric pwd
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 tbsp Cumin seeds

cilantro to garnish

Process:

  • Marinate the mutton pieces with ginger garlic paste, red chilli pwd, salt and turmeric pwd for half an hour.
  • Take coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves and cinnamon in a blender and make it into a fine pwd and keep it aside.
  • Grind the onion roughly and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a cooker and once it is hot add the garlic pods (do not crush them), slit green chillies and fry them for a minute.
  • Then add the coarsely ground onion paste and fry till the onion is completly cooked.
  • Add the marinated mutton, mix well and cover and cook for 5 mins.
  • Add the mango pieces and 2 tsps of the masala pwd we made earlier (reserve the rest of the pwd in a air tight container for next use).
  • Add a cup of water, adjust salt and cover the cooker with the whistle on, let it whistle 4 times and switch off the flame.
  • Wait for the pressure to release and open the lid
  • Turn the stove on and add the cilantro and let it come to boil once and switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot with plain white rice.

Happy Tummy :-)
